For parents
Make phonics practice at home easier to focus
Keep a simple record of what you have observed, see what needs more practice and return to it next time. You lead the activity; Bridging Phonics helps you keep the record organised.
A parent account is free and supports up to two children.
What parents can do
- Follow the phonics progression used by the child's school
- Record adult judgements about current progress
- See what has been marked for practice
- Practise together using the available activities and guidance
- See progress recorded by a tutor after the accounts are linked
- Export a phase summary as a PDF or CSV to keep or share yourself

Practise together
Work through the sounds with your child and mark how each one went. You lead the activity; the app records what you decide.

Working with a tutor
When a tutor links your account, you can open Bridging Phonics and see the progress they have recorded for your child. Tutor session notes remain private to the tutor; the shared view is the progress record, not an automatic report or notification service.

What Bridging Phonics does not do
Bridging Phonics does not test a child automatically, diagnose a reading difficulty or replace teaching from school. If you are concerned about a child's reading, speak to their teacher or an appropriately qualified professional.
